LOCAL CONTROL SUPERLOGGER - BACK VIEW:

  • Near the bottom of the image is the I/O panel with the connectors going to the remote terminal units (RTUs).
  • Just above the I/O panel are a stack of I/O boards (stack-boards) with circuits interfacing, isolating and protecting the more fragile internal electronics.
  • Above the stack-boards is the LCD, its controller and power supply.
  • The PC/104 stack is on the bottom left. The master clock, CPU board, serial I/O, GPS receiver and disk controllers are on this stack.
  • Avove the PC/104 stack are the disk drives.
  • For clarity, not all of the wiring is installed. Before testing and shipment additional fasteners and covers are also installed.
