HT-LAN Specifications:

  • It is bi-directional - connecting only one device at each end.
  • The devices can be as far apart as 500 meters.
  • Data rates of 50,000 BYTES per second in each direction are provided.
  • There are two channels in each direction: data and control.
  • Using D-S-N protocol, each connected device can act as a repeater: passing messages on to another connected device
(each hop can be another 500 meters).
  • Master clock synchronizing signals are transmitted to the slave end.
  • ConnectionGood and ConnectionBroken LED indicators as well as corresponding software interrupts.
  • Synchronous transfer prevents buffer overflow.
  • Four or more RS-232 ports can be converted, multiplexed then transparently reconstructed - including all of the control signals (RTS/CTS/DSR/DTR/RI, etc.)
  • Uses a shielded balanced pairs and snap-lock connectors -- water tight kits available.
  • Most of our RTU and controller type units come with a 20 meter power and data cord with snap-lock male plugs.
  • Our SuperLoggers provide female locking sockets for these plugs.
  • We offer standard 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 meter HT-LAN and power cables that can be "daisy-chained" to lengths of 500 meters. Special cables can be custom made (minimizing connectors).
